Day 1: Marrakech - Tizi -N-Tichka - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges
Our desert excursion begins at your Marrakech riad or hotel. You will be picked up by a local driver from See Around Morocco, a well-known Moroccan travel business, and will journey across the high Atlas Mountains.
Passing through Tizi n’Tichka , we will enjoy impressive landscapes and Berber hamlets, we will visit the universal Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by UNESCO in 1987.
This Berber Kasbah which has been used as a very important destination for international film-makers for more than 15 films was also one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory, salt and silk from sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech and beyond.
We’ll pass through Ouarzazate, or what we call the Hollywood of Africa since it has also been a very famous destination for film-makers, after Ouarzazate we will continue to Dades valley, trough the Megoun, Skoura we will spend the night in the Dades valley in the hotel with dinner.
Day 2: Dades Gorges - Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we will explore the Dades gorges , we’ll explore Todra Gorges and we pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud. We continue to Merzouga, after relaxing a few minutes in Merzouga, we will ride the camels on an adventure in the sand dunes.
We will spend the night in a camp (Nomad Berber tents) with drumming an amazing music in the middle of the Sahara. We will spend a nice night in camp.
Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Tazarine - Draa Valley - Agdz - Marrakech
Watch the sunrise in the deserts then we ride camel back to the hotel and after breakfast we departure to Rissani , Alnif, Oasis Tazarine and Knob. After lunch we continue to Ouarzazate via the Draa valley. We continue to Marrakech crossing Berber villages of the High -Atlas. Arrival in the evening in Marrakech.
