Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen - Ouazane - Fes
Our Desert tour starts from your riad or hotel in Tangier. The local driver from See Around Morocco , trusted travel company in Morocco will pick you and we travel through the Rif Mountains.
We drive to Chefchaouen, known as the blue pearl of Morocco, the twisted roads,we explore medina, then head to Volubilis, to explore the famous well-preserved Roman city you will gain a deep sight into the history and culture of the Romans by exploring the ruins of the Arch of Caracalla, Basilica, and the Capitoline Temple.
Spend some free time walking around on your own and capture more amazing photos. Got back into the car, and drive towards our next stop, the imperial city of Meknes. See the magnificent gate of Bab Mansour, Bab Lekhmis, El Lehdim square and Qara prison. Then we drive to the historical city of Fes. Enjoy a night in comfortable riad or hotel.
Day 2: Fes city guided medina tour
Visit of the city’s cultural and spiritual of the country and declared Universal Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO. Enjoy a full day with a guided visit to the oldest of the imperial cities.
We start the visit by the Golden doors of the Royal Palace. We’ll look at the wall that encloses an impressive and ancient medina. That then will travel from walk experiencing the hundreds of sensations that awakens.
We will discover mosques and medresehs, karabansarais and religious sites to reach the quarter of the tanners. We continue visiting the craftsmen’s quarter. Enjoy a night in comfortable riad or hotel.
Day 3: Fes - Cedar forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga
Today after breakfast we leave for Midelt through the mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas. We pass Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou an important handicraft centre specialised in the work of cedar wood.
After the Zad pass (2,178m) we arrive in Midelt for lunch and afternoon we will drive to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz valley. Then we continue to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi for the desert tours. Dinner and over night in hotel or desert camp (which you prefer)in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges
Today early in the morning,it would be nice to get up around 6 :00am for the sunrise.and after you watch you will come back to your hotel for breakfast and shower.than after that you will travel to the dades valley through Rissani ,Erfoud ,also through many berber towns and villages.
but on the way you will go the Todgha gorge.its one of the most breathtaking place in Morocco. Todgha gorge is also a good place for hiking for few hours and see the nomads coming down the mountain to pick water from the gorge.
than you will have lunch in a local restaurant in or outside the gorge so as to leave to the Dades valley. Over night in a hotel in the Dades gorge with dinner.
Day 5: Dades Gorge - El Kelaa Magona - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Today after breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off road track to see the nomad caves. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis.
We will visit film studios in Ouarzazate and also Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou on the way to Marrakech. End of the private tour from Tangier with See Around Morocco.
